LodgeiT simplifies tax filing for businesses and accountants in Australia. It integrates with popular accounting software to reduce paperwork and streamline submissions to the Australian Tax Office (ATO). It all came together when Andrew Noble, an accountant, became inspired by the world of technology, and decided to combine his knowledge of both fields.
“Filing taxes can be boring, but those in the market like LodgeiT because we take new technical approaches,” Andrew Noble, founder of LodgeiT, shares.
Accountants need client approval before submitting tax filings, but LodgeiT lacked an integrated way to manage document signing. “We used PDF tools, which required lots of manual steps—exporting reports, uploading to a signing app, and manually placing fields,” says Andrew Noble, founder of LodgeiT. There was no link between systems, so tracking progress was impossible, and documents could get lost, leading to delays and penalties.

Integrating document signing within the platform, automating every step
LodgeiT integrated Dropbox Sign directly into its platform via their API, streamlining the signing process. “The implementation was smooth, and the Dropbox team was there to support us if we needed anything,” Noble adds.
Today, signing documents is effortless. Customers import accounting documents, and LodgeiT prepares them by pulling relevant information and setting up signature fields. With one click, the document is sent for signature, allowing recipients to sign on any device. Automatic reminders, scheduled to the customer’s preference, help ensure timely completion. “Accountants can track the document’s status throughout,” Noble explains. “The system also files everything automatically and sends a copy to the customer.”
Customers can also send emails via the LodgeiT system to alert recipients that a new document needs to be signed. To simplify this process, they can choose from around 15 email templates designed by LodgeiT, or customize the templates for a personalized approach.
Thousands of hours saved, with documents being organized, accessible, and secure
LodgeiT’s customers quickly embraced the new feature. “We sent an email letting them know that document signing was available, and that was all they needed. No training required,” says Noble.
Today, around 1,500 accounting firms use Dropbox Sign. “Usage keeps growing—during peak periods, we process nearly 100,000 digital signatures,” says Noble.
The time savings are immense. “Imagine if a firm had to manually process 200 signatures—it would be incredibly time-consuming,” adds Noble. “The digital signing feature is definitely one of the key selling points of our product—our users appreciate the thousands of hours it’s helped them save.”
LodgeiT’s all-in-one system also improves organization, eliminating errors and lost documents. “When switching between platforms, things fall through the cracks. With Dropbox Sign, everything stays connected,” says Noble.
