One question we get asked a lot at Dropbox Sign is: “Can you sign x, y, z document using electronic signatures?”

‍

The truth is, you can use eSignatures to sign anything from a casual agreement to a home lease.

‍

One of our users, Trxade, uses eSignatures to help their customers complete vendor applications online. Another one of our customers, Binti, uses eSignatures to help adoptive parents complete application paperwork online. Use cases for eSignatures are about as diverse as you can imagine.

‍

Here’s a list of common documents signed using eSignatures (in alphabetical order):

‍

  • Auto insurance forms
  • Benefits paperwork
  • Deeds
  • Employee handbooks
  • Employee stock option forms
  • Eviction notices I-9 forms
